    Day 1: Introduction to Origami and Basic Folds

    Objective:

    • Understand the basics of origami and learn fundamental folds.

    • Basic Folds: Introduction to basic folds (valley fold, mountain fold, reverse fold).

    • Hands-On Exercise: Practice basic folds with simple shapes (e.g., square, triangle).

    • Q&A Session: Address participants' questions and provide additional explanations.

    • Homework: Practice the basic folds learned during the session.

    Materials Needed:

    • Video conferencing platform for live session

    • Origami paper or square sheets of paper

    • Step-by-step guides for basic folds

    Day 2: Creating Simple Origami Models

    Objective:

    • Learn to create simple origami models using basic folds.

    Activities:

    • Review (Live Session): Quick review of basic folds practiced on Day 1.

    • Simple Models: Introduction to creating simple origami models such as the crane, boat, and butterfly.

    • Step-by-Step Demonstration: Live demonstration of creating each model.

    • Hands-On Exercise: Participants follow along and create the models.

    • Q&A Session: Address participants' questions and provide additional explanations.

    • Homework: Practice creating the simple models demonstrated during the session.

    • Origami paper or square sheets of paper

    Day 3: Intermediate Origami Techniques

    Objective:

    • Learn intermediate origami techniques and create more complex models.

    Activities:

    • Review (Live Session): Quick review of simple models created on Day 2.

    • Intermediate Techniques: Introduction to intermediate techniques such as squash fold, petal fold, and sink fold.

    • Step-by-Step Demonstration: Live demonstration of creating an intermediate model (e.g., frog, lily).

    • Hands-On Exercise: Participants follow along and create the intermediate model.

    • Q&A Session: Address participants' questions and provide additional explanations.

    • Homework: Practice the intermediate model and techniques demonstrated during the session.

    Day 4: Advanced Origami Models

    Objective:

    • Learn advanced origami techniques and create complex models.

    Activities:

    • Advanced Models: Introduction to creating advanced models such as the dragon, flower, and box.

    • Step-by-Step Demonstration: Live demonstration of creating an advanced model.

    • Hands-On Exercise: Participants follow along and create the advanced model.

    • Q&A Session: Address participants' questions and provide additional explanations.

    • Homework: Practice creating the advanced model demonstrated during the session.

    Day 5: Origami Showcase and Presentation

    Objective:

    • Complete and present a final origami project.

    Activities:

    • Warm-Up (Live Session): Light warm-up activity to prepare for the final project.

    • Final Project: Participants choose a model (or series of models) they want to showcase and create it.

    • Presentation: Participants present their final origami projects to the group via video call, explaining their process, challenges, and what they learned.

    • Feedback and Certificates: Constructive feedback session and presentation of certificates of completion.

    • Video conferencing platform for live session

    • Origami paper or square sheets of paper

    • Certificates of completion

    Final Outcome

    By the end of the 5-day workshop, participants will:

    • Understand the basics and cultural significance of origami.

    • Master basic, intermediate, and advanced origami folds and techniques.

    • Create simple, intermediate, and advanced origami models.

    • Complete a final origami project and present it to the group.

    • Receive constructive feedback on their final project.
